Inverness Canoe Club - Kayaking and Canoeing in the Scottish Highlands

Anne Murray will be running an 'Introduction to Sea Kayaking' course this summer, comprising three evening sessions which will be flexible but broadly speaking will cover:
 
Session 1 - Introduction to sea kayaking - Thursday 30th July

- getting comfortable in the boat
- building on strokes learnt at 1 * - forward, backward, sweep, edging,
bracing, draw.
- use of skeg etc
 
Session 2 - focus on rescues etc, towing etc - Thursday 6th August
 
Session 3 - focus on forward paddling - Thursday 13th August
 
Session 4 -  will be a trip somewhere - we've yet to confirm the date but its likely to be a Saturday.  This will build on everything we've learnt and be a chance to enjoy just being out on the water!
 
If you're interested in joining in, then  please drop Anne a line. There are six places and these will be allocated on a first come first serve to those who can make all / most of the dates!
 
If you could also let Anne know whether or not you'll need some club kit that would be great so she can get it booked out for you...and can you also let her know whether or not you can transport boats!
