Trips & Events :: Turasan is Tachartasan

Inverness Canoe Club is an extremely active club and we therefore run lots of trips and events throughout the year for our members...please click on the events calendar to see what's coming up soon...

Trips

Our organised trips can include river-running trips, sea kayaking expeditions, suft competitions and pretty much anything else you can think of in between!

If you have not yet embarked on a club trip, please ensure that you read the 'Trip Information' page to ensure that you have the necessary prerequisites. Please also make sure that you either have all of the appropriate kit and safety equipment to hand, or you have arranged to hire appropriate kit well in advance.

In addition, many club members also arrange private, unofficial trips amongst themselves. Please note, however, that while these can be great opportunities to build-upon or brush-up on your skills, these trips are not formally endorsed by the club.

Please note: while we warmly welcome anyone who's interested in paddlesport to join the club, for health & safety and child protection reasons, all trips advertised on this site are for members only; unless specified otherwise.

Events

In terms of events, the highlight must surely be our infamous Christmas Party...but we also arrange periodic slideshows, talks and presentations on various paddlesport topics, as well as our annual 'come and try' session at Loch Achilty, which is open to anyone interested in trying canoeing/kayaking for the first time...

Newsflash

Inverness Canoe Club is currently progressing an exciting project to bring a mini slalom course to Bught Park, Inverness.

The project was initially set in motion by former ICC President and SCA Regional Coaching Organiser, Steve MacKinnon, however the club has now added its weight to proceedings in order to maximise funding streams and support.

We are still at an early stage and funding applications still in the pipeline, however we are happy to announce that we have already secured funding from greeninverness and sponsorship from Brandon Landscpaing Ltd. Both of these organisations' input and support, especially at such an early stage, is extremely welcome and appreciated.

Please keep an eye on the Bught Park Slalom Course page in the About the Club section for news as things progress...
