Club Christmas Party

E-mail Print

It's Ceilidh time again and this year promises to be even bigger and, if possible, better than last year!

The location for this year's Ceilidh is the Recreation Hall (which also has a functioning bar) located within Raigmore Hospital.

Hosting the festivities this year will be Ceilidh band '*The Cat's Back*', who should have us up out of our seats and dancing for most of the night. To add to the occasion we also have our own collection of musicians to play during break, which  also promises to get the feet tapping and bottoms jigging.

A full buffet will be laid out for your enjoyment.

We will also be hosting the much anticipated 'Awards Ceremony' which brings much hilarity.

If you would like to join us this year, the date for your diary is Friday 4th December.

Tickets are £15 per person, which can be obtained during pool sessions from Kym or send a cash/ cheque (payable to 'Inverness Canoe Club') to:

Rhona Stewart
38 Moray Park Place
Inverness
IV2 7NG

Please make sure that you include your return address so that your tickets can be posted out to you!

Lets make this another year to remember...

After much discussion and technical tinkering, we have created an online membership application system for prospective, or existing, members to use when joining/re-joining the club. The online process should take around 5 minutes to complete and means that you don't have to worry about cheques or postage!

In order to use the online system, you'll need to have a PayPal account. If you don't already have one, you can sign up for one by clicking here.

Full instructions on using the online application system, as well as links to get the application process started, can be found in the 'Join the Club' section of the main menu.

What's your favourite type of paddling?

Newsflash

The annual River Ness Marathon (organised by members of Inverness Canoe Club) will be held on: Sunday 25th July 2010.

The race constitutes one of four marathon events held each year in northern Scotland as part of the SCA's Highland Marathon Series and each year, more and more people are drawn to the event; it's a fantastic day out for all the family!

Serious paddlers can undertake the challenging long-course, while those who like life a little more relaxed can paddle the shorter section from Dochgarroch down to the city centre...if you're in it to win it, or just enjoy a social paddle, then there's something to keep you occupied...
